I recently received a request to build a portable work
station for a local super market. Something along the lines of a small
desk on a pedestal.
The pic at left is of the three sides. Not glued up yet,
just to see what it looks like. Splines fit into 1/8" slots routed in the
edge of the side styles and the back of the front styles.

I had no plans for the podium, but I used the plans for
a pedestal found in the 3/98 issue of WOOD
Magazine. I widened the front, added a desk top, and threw some wheels
under it and voila! |
