Pic 27 shows one of the 2 "paddle wheels" that finish the marble's trek. I wish I had gone to use my neighbors scrollsaw, would of turned out much cleaner. |

Pic 28 shows the glueup of the flip flop device that turns the marbles down the two different shoots. Thumbs up in pic29 and nearly complete in the next. All stock has either been Ash or walnut. |

The last hurdle the marbles make is over the yellow paddle wheels. They alternate back and forth by means of a "flip-flop" thingy that swings and diverts the marbles down the two chutes. i decided to paint the paddles because i got tired sanding them! The tray beneath the wheels is inclined so the marbles roll toward the outside. The only problem is most of them bounce out! One of the only large problem with the plans in my opinion is the lack of help with the connecting ramps between the different obstacles. |

In pic 34 the marble was just suppose to drop out of the staircase onto a ramp and roll down to the funnel. It didn't work. I fashioned a piece of ash with a 3/4" hole from the top ending in a hole from the side. I then poured epoxy into the flat bottom of the hole, and let it dry on an angle to form a ramp, so the marbles would roll out. In 35 I moved the position of the winding path so the chute would better line up. I supported the chute with a 1/4" dowel which also acts as a stop at the end of the chute. |

After leaving the winding path, the marbles flow down to the bell that I swiped out of my telephone. Fortunately the phone is prehistoric so there was a brass bell in it instead of steel! |
